Back in July, we announced our latest Doctor Who art challenge, after confirmation that actress Jodie Whittaker is to be Doctor Who‘s Thirteenth Doctor, and many artists raced to draw her.
Several artists have shared their take of Jodie online, including cover artist Hal Laren (the first we saw), Francesco Francavilla, Marvel Comics and Titan Comics artist Christian Ward and others.
Entries were posted to the Facebook “Doctor Who Comics: A Voyage” group (which downthetubes runs), a group is packed with Doctor Who comic writers and artists already – you might enjoy your visit!
We had some great entries and it’s been a very hard decision to pick just one overall winner. In the end, In the end, I went for an approach that was just a little different to the others and picked out Jesus Antonio Hernandez take as the overall winner, with Hal Laren, a close second.
Thanks to everyone who entered! I’ve created a new folder on the group which includes the winners and some “Commended” entries, all featured below.
