Blank Slate have published so many books by new British talent in the last month that London comic shop Gosh! has decided to throw a launch party for a bunch of them all at once. All at once. They’re having a big ol’ launch party on Friday 9th August, from 7.00 until 9.00pm, by which point they reckon you will have drunk all their beer and will have to set about finding more in the pubs of Soho.
Those five books are: Joe Decie’s The Listening Agent, Donya Todd’s Death and the Girls, Jim Medway’s Playing Out, Oliver East’s Swear Down and Dan Berry’s The Suitcase. (There’s more more info on all five books here on the Gosh! site). As usual, if you can’t make the launch party but would like to nab some signed copies, just email Gosh at info@goshlondon.com.
So! Fancy joining in with the launch of five books at once? Get down to Gosh! on Friday 9th August and you can do just that. There’s no need to RSVP, just turn up and meet some people. Although you can RSVP Gosh at the event’s Facebook page so they can remind you electronically.
• Blank Slate’s New British Comics Launch Party, Friday, 9th August. 7 – 9.00 pm Gosh!, 1 Berwick Street, London W1F 0DR. Open Daily 10.30am – 7.00pm. More info on the evnet and all five books: www.goshlondon.com/2013/07/blank-slates-new-british-comics-launch-party
Mail order people: Gosh! do a flat-rate of £5 postage within the UK so you can get all five books posted to you for just £5 (on top of their combined retail price, obviously). Elsewhere: you’ll have to let Gosh know which ones you’d like and where you want them posted to so they can work it out. They can post anywhere in the world.
