Continuing a mission to use comics as one way to both highlight and share information, writer Ernesto Priego has just announced the debut of Just Another Day: A Comic About Brexit, in both English and Spanish language versions.
Created with the help of Latin American House and MPB Solicitors, the comic aims to highlight some of the practical issues resulting from Britain’s exit from the European Union which are affecting many people.
Available in both English and Spanish, the comic – the latest in a series released under the Symbola Comics banner which began with “The Power of Sharing” back in March – was conceived and written by Francisco de la Mora and Ernesto Priego with art by Ricardo Peláez. Graphic design is by Daniela Rocha.
“The single-page comic also comes with an additional information sheet prepared by Manuel Padilla Behar, from MPB Solicitors. The text in the comic was translated from the original Spanish into English by Ernesto Priego.
“The uncertainty generated by Brexit motivated us to prepare a comic that explains in an educative and informative way the different options that Europeans and their families have available to minimise the impact of Brexit,” says Ernesto, who is a digital humanities and publishing researcher, educational technologist, editor and writer. He specialises in online publishing for impact and widening participation.
