There are over 300 comic lots in the latest Phil-Comics auction over on ebay, ending soon. On offer are plenty of early TV Century 21, Wham, #1 issues, free gifts, and some original artwork.
Included in this auction is a trio of books featuring every single “Dennis the Menace” strip drawn by David Law from The Beano (1951-1970). This doesn’t appear to be an official release, not in the UK at least, but the pictures featured indicate good quality reproduction.
Most auctions start at 99p with no reserve. The auction begins to close on Sunday 6th August 2022.

Here’s the original comic art on offer in this auction, leading with a piece of original artwork from a collector who bought it from a retired member of DC Thomson staff.

They informed the collector it is a self portrait drawn by Black Bob artist Jack Prout, which has been confirmed by a small photo of Jack supplied by comics historian Alan Clark.
The art is undated but has the feel of similar pages Phil-Comics have recently handled from the early 1950s. The style is very much in keeping with Prout’s work.
