Celebrating its 45 year anniversary in April 2016, The London Book Fair is the global marketplace for rights negotiation and the sale and distribution of content across print, audio, TV, film and digital channels.
Staged annually, LBF sees more than 25,000 publishing professionals arrive in London for the week of the show to learn, network and kick off their year of business. Some of the most important players in the publishing industry will be at the event, including foreign rights agents, distributors, book buyers, literary agents etc all looking for books to publish, represent or carry in their bookstore or library.
A number of authors are also at the event doing signings and a number of comic publishers from across the globe will be at this year’s event, – including UK publishers Egmont UK, Freight Books (sharing with Publishing Scotland), Knockabout, Myriad Editions, Soaring Penguin (who will be promoting their To End All Wars anthology, among other titles) and Titan Books; Belgium publisher Casterman; French publishers such as Allary Editions and Glenat; Turkey’s Yapi Kredi; Japan’s Kodansha Europe; along with Diamond Comic Distributors and graphic novel distributors such as Turnaround.
The London Book Fair also sits at the heart of London Book & Screen Week, and takes place on the 12-14 April 2016.
If you’re a creator wanting to see what’s out there or who’s hiring; or a publisher interested in foreign rights, acquisitions agents, editors and translation rights agents and introducing your book to an international audience… this is the show for you.
