“Lost Fleet” SF comic series gets an expansion as a new novella, out in January

Rendezvous with Corsair, the Lost Fleet collection by Jack Campbell

Preorders are available for Rendezvous with Corsair, the Lost Fleet collection by Jack Campbell of four previously-published science fiction short stories, available in one place for the first time, and the new novella Corsair, greatly expanded from the plot of the Lost Fleet comic series, published by Titan Comics.

Lost Fleet - Boundless by Jack Campbell

Unfortunately, just one series of the Lost Fleet comic was released, but another was planned. The plot for the second comic series was incorporated into the novel, Boundless, so readers wouldn’t be left hanging.

Jack Campbell’s New York Times bestselling The Lost Fleet sci-fi adventure series has transported legions of fans out of this world and into the heat of battle. Now, readers will discover how it all began – not only for John “Black Jack” Geary and his descendant Commander Michael Geary, but for those who fought and sacrificed so much alongside them.

Spanning from before the Alliance/Syndicate war to the devastating initial conflagration that would lead to decades of unremitting conflict and beyond into full-blown war, from the Geary’s own epic heroics to where their surviving compatriots found their own fates, this volume reveals the triumphs, tragedies, and life-altering events that made these warriors living legends in their universe.

Packed with high-stakes military action and drama as well as humor and humanity, this volume explores the foundations of The Lost Fleet series as well as past exploits of its most popular characters – and also includes the novelization of the Lost Fleet graphic novel Corsair, which was praised as “a Tom Clancy thriller in space” by Publishers Weekly.

John Hemry, aka Jack Campbell

Jack Campbell is the pen name of John G. Hemry, a retired US Navy officer. His father (LCDR Jack M. Hemry, USN ret.) is a mustang (an officer who was promoted through the enlisted ranks), so John grew up living everywhere from Pensacola, Florida to San Diego, California, including an especially memorable few year on Midway Island.

John graduated from Lyons High School in Lyons, Kansas in 1974, then attended the US Naval Academy (Class of ’78), where he was labeled “the un-Midshipman” by his roommates.

His active duty assignments in the U.S. Navy included USS Spruance (DD963) (Navigator, Gunnery Officer); Defense Intelligence Agency (Production Control Officer); Navy Anti-Terrorism Alert Center (Watch Officer, Operations Officer); Amphibious Squadron Five (Staff Intelligence Officer/N2); Navy Operational Intelligence Center (Readiness Division); and Chief of Naval Operations Staff N3/N5 (Plans, Policy and Operations).

John speaks the remnants of Russian painstakingly pounded into him by Professor Vladimir Tolstoy (yes, he was related to that Tolstoy). He lives in Maryland with a wife who is too good for him and three great kids

Rendezvous with Corsair, out 23rd January 2024, is available to preorder now from Amazon | AmazonUK (Kindle Link) | Barnes & Noble | Kobo | Apple
