You might remember that in 2013 the wonderful British comic artist Martin Hand – a veteran of the indie comics scene for as many years as me! did a Dodgy Drawings Challenge in aid of the Comic Relief/Red Nose Day back in 2013.
If you don’t, then you’ll be impressed to learn that with the kind and generous support of my sponsors he was able to do 70 drawings and raise £660 for good causes in the UK and across Africa.
He’s now doing it all again this year and is asking friends and fans of his work to sponsor him to do a new “Dodgy Drawing”. For a minimum pledge of a just £1 (or a couple of dollars), he’ll draw you the comics/ cartoon/ other character of your choice with any accompanying wording/lyrics/quotes you like (or if you prefer, he’ll choose something “appropriate”) – and all the money will go to Comic Relief.
Please note, all Martin’s work is done digitally, there will be no original art you can buy. Here are all of this year’s dodgy drawings so far; if you would like to sponsor him, please visit:http://my.rednoseday.com/sponsor/worldofagwu
If you can’t sponsor Martin, please help spread the word when and where you can!
