Hotdog and Mustard is the latest crazy comic caper from cartoonist Marc Jackson, the brains behind digital comic Goof!
Hotdog is a big dog, Mustard is a small dog. When Mustard opens a parcel addressed to his owner Dave, what’s inside leads them on a wacky ‘real-time’ adventure that involves, a robot, a carpet, an aeroplane and Don Johnson! Crazy fun, for all ages!
Marc describes Hotdog and Mustard as perfect for lovers of The Muppets, The Cat and the Hat and Ren and Stimpy; looking at the preview, I’d suggest it’s very much a blend of a Dr Seuss-style picture story and comic, but it looks like great fun for younger readers.
You can buy this new project, and Marc’s other creations such as Goons of the Galaxy over on his Etsy store.
Goof! Issue 5 is also available now to subscribers – sign aboard at goofcomic.co.uk. This Christmas issue includes Goof by Marc, “Nona the Ninth” by Emmeline Pidgen. a slighty happier episode of “Derek the Troll” from Lew Stringer (that won’t last!), Jim Boswell’s hilarious “Stick Pig”, “Two Wizards” by Rick Eades, “Dwarf and Duck” by Andreas Schuster and many more one-page strips.
For me, it’s a but of curate’s egg (and Phil Boyce has more to say about the title over on the Oink blog, which I do agree with), but worth a look.
