Fans of CBBC’s Wolfblood will be pleased to hear that a second motion comic based on the series is on the way, written by Rik Hoskin and illustrated by Tom Waterhouse.
Set after the dramatic events of the show’s fourth season, Hunter’s Moon – a new three-part story – finds Jana and Matei head out to the wild with a warning for Emilia and the rest of the pack. But, they are not alone!
Part One – “Broken Trust” is live now with Part Two, “Hunted”, hitting the official Wolfblood web site next week.
Hunter’s Moon is the second Wolfblood tie-in motion comic from Rik and Tom, based on the popular children’s supernatural drama series created by Debbie Moon.
The first adventure, New Moon Rising, was set between season three and four of the show and also runs for three episodes, revealing what Maddy, Rhydian, Tom and Shannon were up to ‘offscreen’.
Currently, both comics are only viewable in the UK and joins a number of Wolfblood extras on the CBBC site including games and the opportunity for fans to predict what’s next for the popular series.
Rik Hoskin has written Superman, Star Wars, Doctor Who and Shrek comic strips, and is the scriptwriter of the Mercy Thompson graphic novel from Dynamite which topped the amazon.com best-selling horror graphic novels chart earlier this year. He’s also a novelist and was the primary writer of James Axler’s Outlanders series for seven years as well as contributing to Axler’s Deathlands series. He is currently writing a series of original novels for HarperCollins based on the Hercules: The Legendary Journeys television series.
Tom Waterhouse is a designer and illustrator based in Bristol, specialising in illustration, website design and video game design. He has some great art over on DeviantArt as well as his official site.
CBBC makes a decision about whether to commission a new season after each season has been shown in the UK, and there’s no new yet on whether a fifth season has been greenlit.
