REPAINT Your Heroes with Comic Artist Graham Pearce at this year’s Lancaster Comics Day

REPAINTED Dalek - Lancaster Comics Day 2015

After the success of last year’s Lancaster Comics Day, Preston-based comic creator Graham Pearce – best known for his wonderful SGT. MIKE BATTLE indie comic – is back with his popular REPAINTED workshop where he will be inviting comic fans both young and old to reimagine your favourite comic characters like never before!

“I ran the first ever REPAINTED workshop as part of Lancaster Comics Day last year,” Graham reminds us. “I was a bit nervous about how it would work and if anyone would turn up but I had a great time. So many people took the time to sit down and make their own REPAINTED pictures (I think some of the adults enjoyed it more than their kids!).

The founder of downthetubes, which he established in 1998. John works as a comics and magazine editor, writer, and on promotional work for the Lakes International Comic Art Festival. Working in British comics publishing since the 1980s, his credits include editor of titles such as Doctor Who Magazine, Star Trek Explorer (previously known as Star Trek Magazine) and more. He also edited the comics anthology STRIP Magazine and edited several audio comics for ROK Comics. He has also edited several comic collections, including volumes of “Charley’s War and “Dan Dare”. He’s the writer of "Pilgrim: Secrets and Lies" for B7 Comics; “Crucible”, a creator-owned project with 2000AD artist Smuzz; and “Death Duty” and “Skow Dogs” with Dave Hailwood.
