Titan Comics has announce brand-new Sea of Thieves comics, based on the hotly anticipated shared-world adventure video game from Rare! Writer Jeremy Whitley (Princeless, Thor Vs. Hulk) and artist Rhoald Marcellius (The Incredible Hulks, Warren Ellis’ Supergod) are setting sail across the fantastical Sea of Thieves with an epic new all-ages comic book series in March 2018.
In 2018’s Triple-A video game Sea of Thieves, players crew up together to become pirate legends on the Sea of Thieves – a world filled to the boots with ancient treasure to plunder, vast islands to explore, and undead hordes to combat.
A world adventure game (or SWAG for short), Sea of Thieves is set to be the next unforgettable experience for players on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC, with enhanced features on Xbox One X. It offers the essential pirate experience, packed to the seams with sailing and exploring, fighting and plundering, riddle solving and treasure hunting – everything you need to live the pirate life you’ve always dreamed about. With no set roles, you have complete freedom to approach the world, and other players, however you choose.
With over 330,000 players already signed up to the Sea of Thieves Insider Programme, over one million views of the gameplay trailer and an ever-increasing, passionate community of dedicated fans, the highly anticipated video game is set to arrive on the Xbox One family of devices and Windows 10 PCs in early 2018.
In Titan Comics’ brand-new series, follow two competing crews of pirates, bound by a shared past and a single destiny, as they sail the Sea of Thieves in a race to track down an ancient treasure. Along the way they’ll deal with undead hordes, devious traps and their own bitter rivalries, but which crew will emerge victorious and ultimately claim the legendary loot?
Arriving in stores March 2018, Titan Comics’ Sea of Thieves will feature three phenomenal covers for fans to treasure, including Rhoald Marcellius, Jose Carlos and a stunning game art cover.

In related news, Titan Books is releasing Tales from the Sea of Thieves on 20th March by Paul Davies, a lavishly illustrated introduction to the world of the game Sea of Thieves – home to krakens, mermaids and buried treasure. Narrated by three unique pirate captains the book will take a look at the world through their eyes. From laughable pirate suspicions to the towns and islands these hardened seafarers call home, they’ll introduce and explore the fantastical Sea of Thieves.
The book includes sea shanties, illustrations and sketches by the pirates and their crew, and much more, an artefact fished straight from within the game universe, featuring all the wear and tear expected from a grog-swilling pirate’ life.
