The Lakes International Comic Art Festival 2019 has been and gone, flying past in a speed of light, but their brilliant Podcast team, led by Ian Loxam and Nikki Bates, have loads to report – and gathered some smashing comic creator interviews during the event.
The latest Lakes International Comic Art Festival Podcast episode, released the day after the Festival features chats with loads of creators from the Clock Tower at the festival plus a great chat with a group of Danish creators.
The people the team chatted too in the Clock Tower were all asked five questions with the last one being asked by the previous creator. This all kicked off with Festival director Julie Tait asking “what is your worst chore at home?”
Interviewed were Hunt Emerson, Demian Vogler, Gustaffo Vargas, Simo (Martin Simpson), Mark Hughes, Nick Prolix, Matt Simmons, Mark Abnett, Joe Latham, Tom Nash, Yomi Ayeni (Yoms) and, finally, Julie Tait.
The Danish contingency interview featured Kristina Ricken, Soren Mosdal, Jacob Thybo, Lars Jakobsen and Arni Beck Gunnarsson (also discussed was the Danish Art Bubble festival and their You Tube channel).
There will be a full festival run down next episode, but in the mean time, listen right here or here on the official Podcast web site!
