The calendar features 12 distinctive “classic Doctors” images, including Andrew’s memorable art for the VHS release of stories such as The Deadly Assassin and Castrovalva. It’s an eye-catching offering, dedicated to the the BBC commissioners “who gave me so many opportunities when I needed them,” Andrew informs us.

Between 1991 and 1994 the BBC commissioned Andrew to illustrate the covers for twenty four of their VHS releases of Doctor Who adventures. He also provided many covers for other BBC VHS and Audio releases into the 2000s.

Best known for his professional association with Doctor Who from 1979 to 1995 and in particular his covers for the legendary Target Books novelisations, Andrew continued illustrating Doctor Who for Virgin Publishing, the BBC and more recently for Race Point Publishing USA.

He relaunched Who Dares Publishing late in 2016 and also self-publishes a range of Doctor Who related merchandise based around his own art, including the prestigious JustTwenty Collections twice a year. The latest is due Autumn 2020.

While we’re talking about Andrew’s work, a quick reminder that his Target Mug & Coaster Collection is also currently available – although if you want those, you’ll need to order them soon, as Andrew warns they’ll only be available until the end of this month.
