In this episode Alex talks to actress and director Lisa Bowerman about twenty years of playing time travelling archeologist and former Doctor Who companion Bernice Summerfield, and to producer Dirk Maggs about the fortieth anniversary series of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, plus his work on audio versions of Alien and Neverwhere.
In her addition to her acting career, Lisa Bowerman also works regularly as a director for Big Finish Productions. Recent work has included Doctor Who, Sapphire & Steel, Graceless, Blake’s 7, and Jago & Litefoot.
The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy – Hexagonal Phase with Anantha Winchester and Simon Michel is currently airing on BBC Radio 4. Last year, Dirk Maggs‘ projects for Audible included The X-Files – Cold Cases & Stolen Lives, starring David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. He continued exploring the Alien universe in Alien – River of Pain.
