My thanks to cartoonist Lew Stringer for the timely reminder to replug two fantastic UK annuals, very much in the “traditional” format that many remember with great fondness.
Both the latest Beano and Dandy annuals are in the shops (as well as the Oor Wullie book, Rupert and other titles). They’ve been available since July, but as Lew has rightly noted elsewhere, it’s always worth plugging them again as we near Christmas.

Regular downthetubes readers will have already read Peter Duncan’s enthusiastic review of both annuals here. The Beano and Dandy annuals run to 112 full colour pages of all-new material featuring great favourites by today’s comic artists and writers.
Always keep your Dandy handy! And Beano, too. You should find both annuals discounted in shops – or you can order them online.
