Live Art Sale with Howard Chaykin today

Bill Cox of Comic Art LIVE and Comic Art Fans will be hosting a special chat and live claim sale with American comic artist Howard Chaykin later today, this Saturday 18th March 2023 at 2.00pm EST (6.00pm UK time) on YouTube.

In addition to the art sale, Bill will be chatting to Howard about his extraordinary career in comics and taking your questions during the live show.

Howard Chaykin is an acclaimed comic book writer and artist with credits such as American Flagg!, Star Wars, and Hey, Kids, Comics! He has worked extensively at Marvel Comics, DC Comics, and Image comics from the early 1970s through the present day.

He is currently working on Hey, Kids, Comics! and much more, including an entertaining, occasional SubStack newsletter.

There will be over 20 artworks available for purchase created specifically for this sale by Howard Chaykin, and unsold pieces from past shows at discounted prices will also be offered.

The founder of downthetubes, which he established in 1998. John works as a comics and magazine editor, writer, and on promotional work for the Lakes International Comic Art Festival. Working in British comics publishing since the 1980s, his credits include editor of titles such as Doctor Who Magazine, Star Trek Explorer (previously known as Star Trek Magazine) and more. He also edited the comics anthology STRIP Magazine and edited several audio comics for ROK Comics. He has also edited several comic collections, including volumes of “Charley’s War and “Dan Dare”. He’s the writer of "Pilgrim: Secrets and Lies" for B7 Comics; “Crucible”, a creator-owned project with 2000AD artist Smuzz; and “Death Duty” and “Skow Dogs” with Dave Hailwood.
