More cartooning japery up for grabs from Lew Stringer

Cartoonist Lew Stringer, who celebrated his 65th birthday last week, has more of his original comic art up for auction on eBay.

This week, there’s your opportunity to grab the special “Tom Thug” page for the New Year 1995 issue of Buster, a two-page “Pigswilla” story from OINK! BOOK 1988, and the covers for Blimey! It’s Brickman, the very first Brickman solo comic from 1983.

The auctions run here on eBay until Sunday 31st March 2024, and don’t forget to buy Lew’s Comic Sampler while you’re there!

Lew Stringer is a professional writer and artist of humour comics and has been freelancing in the UK comics industry for 40 years. He currently writes and draws “The Daft Dimension” for Doctor Who Magazine, and “Sgt Shouty” for The77.

His credits involve work for a range of age groups including “Combat Colin” for Marvel UK, a character he now owns, “Tom Thug” for Fleetway, “The Pathetic Sharks” for Viz, “Team Toxic” for Toxic Magazine and many more. He’s been published in The DandyOink!BusterSonic the Comic, and numerous other titles. 

A much appreciated supporter of our work here on downthetubes, Lew has had a lifelong interest in the history of British comics and has written articles for the BBC website, Comics World magazine and others.
