A second trailer for Matt Reeves‘ upcoming film, The Batman debuted as part of the DC FanDome online event.
The Batman hits UK cinemas on 4th March and stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Colin Farrell as Oswald “Oz” Cobblepot (The Penguin). Paul Dano plays the film’s major villain, The Riddler.
In the new film, Batman employs his detective skills to uncover corruption in Gotham City that connects to his own family, the Waynes, while facing a serial killer known as the Riddler.
Needless to say, ahead of the film’s March release, the merchandising has already begun, with a range of calendars, also encompassing other iterations of the character, just the beginning of the tie-ins.
One of the most iconic fictional characters in the world, Batman has dedicated his life to an endless crusade, a war on all criminals in the name of his murdered parents, who were taken from him when he was just a child. Since that tragic night, he has trained his body and mind to near physical perfection to be a self-made super hero.
In the guise of his alter ego, billionaire Bruce Wayne, he’s developed an arsenal of technology that would put most armies to shame. And in the comics down the years, he’s assembled teams of his fellow DC Super Heroes, like the Justice League, the Outsiders and Batman, Incorporated.
