Awesome Comics Podcast Episode 40: Kris Carter and Bruce Outback

Awesome Comics Podcast Episode 40: Kris Carter

This week on a great show all about creating comics the Awesome Comics Podcast gang are joined by the talented Kris Carter, a comics creator it’s been a huge privilege to have worked with myself in the past.

Kris is the creator of the time travelling cop with a koala sidekick Bruce Outback, and tells us all about how the idea came to be after a drunken night out, his experience as a colourist for IDW and so much more.

It’s a fun chat, and there’s also some great talk about books, projects and events you need to check out and a discussion about digital rewards on Kickstarter.

Vince Hunt uses the word lovely so much he almost becomes Miss Marple, Dan Butcher throws out some classic comedy zingers and Tony Esmond threatens to eat crisps on-air.

Plus this is the episode where the ACP team announce the combatants for the first ever Awesome Games! 48 small press characters will go into the arena, and only one will come out… who will survive? Well, you’ll just have to listen to find out!

Mentioned in this episode are: Kris Carter, Bruce Outback, the Bruce Outback Kickstarter, Lou Scannon, Attic Studios, Fantasy Sports, Papercuts and Inkstains 4, Sliced Quarterly #2, Preacher, Charlie Fights, Liberty: The Deception Kickstarter, Herobear and the Kid, XKCD, XKCD What If?, Charles PI Kickstarter, The Disease Kickstarter, Autism All Stars, Pipedream Comics, A Place to Hang Your Cape and Down the Tubes
