A Facebook-based charity auction in aid of SAFA – Self Harm AwarenessFor All – goes live today, which features a number of great comic lots, including work from Bryan Talbot, Keith Burns, Hunt Emerson, Bob Lynch, Ottilie Hainsworth, Lucy Sullivan, Dave Windett, Dave Shelton and Martin Rowson.
Plus there are plenty of paintings, too, by a variety of local Cumbrian artists, including Sally Bamber, Peter Cave and Jill Pemberton.
Based in Cumbria, SAFA (the acronym for Self Harm Awareness for all) is committed to making a positive difference to the lives of individuals, in Cumbria, who self harm and to those who support them. Their primary goal is to empower individuals to take responsibility for their own lives and they do this through non-judgmental counselling and trusting support.
“Please scroll all the way down to the last item so you don’t miss anything!” urges artist and organiser Sharon Tait. “We have had so many generous donations!”
Bidding is open now and the auction ends Saturday 5th June at 8.00 pm
How The Auction Works
There are two strands to this charity auction with all lot featured on a dedicated Facebook group.
All items marked Buy Now are available to buy immediately. The first person to comment ‘buy now’ will win that piece of artwork at the Buy Now price set.
You will then be contacted to say you have won, discuss postage and payment options.
The Main Auction covers all
items are listed but do not say buy now.
All you need to do is check the reserve price and comment “I’d like to bid £xx amount” (as long as it’s over the reserve).
The organisers would be grateful if you could bid at a sensible increase on the previous winning bid. If you don’t live locally Furness and Kendal, then please note postage and packaging is not included.
When you win, you will be contacted about ways to pay via PayPal or Bank Transfer.
Bidding is open now and the auction ends Saturday 5th June 2021 at 8.00 pm.
