Anderson Entertainment has opened pre-orders for its second UFO Comic Anthology – and downthetubes has had a sneak peek, including some of the strip pages drawn by Brian Lewis, Jon Davis and John M. Burns.
Based on Gerry and Sylvia Anderson’s first live-action TV series, UFO, this is the second collection of strips, the first proving a runaway hit with fans.
On offer is a 320-page lavishly designed litho printed anthology, comprising “UFO” comic strips from TV Action, plus other rarely seen and never-before-reprinted strips, presented together with insightful articles and interviews all compiled by Anderson comics expert Shaqui Le Vesconte.
As with Volume One, reviewed here, the articles and interviews will give the reader context and fascinating insights into TV Action‘s history, artists, and UFO‘s life as a TV series, and demise.

For those wondering about the collection cover, the image is taken from one of the covers from the Italian reprints of the UFO strips, published by Edifumetto.

The series there so popular, in fact, that this was a reissue, Supplemento a TAM TAM – N° 4, published in 1974. All the covers feature here, in full on the ISOSHADO site.

Pre-ordered! Love revisiting these stories and love the format of the collection.
I’d be interested in knowing if they will produce more of these types of collection, perhaps the Space:1999 Look-In stories which could be done in one collection.
Top marks to the Gerry Anderson Store for producing these books.
