The latest issue of Doctor Who Adventures is on sale now and includes a smashing romp of a strip written by Rik Hoskin in which The Doctor heads off to Paris for a spot of art appreciation – and gets drawn into his appreciation in a way rather unexpected!
With a free gift that includes a UNIT beret (which had this fifty-something wondering what he did with his TV21 International Rescue hat), this is another great issue of the junior Who title. The team on this comic, led by editor Jason Quinn, are really working hard within the format to create a decent title that doesn’t talk down to its audience but has a lot of fun along the way, too.

• Doctor Who Adventures Issue 16 – All New Action! All New Adventures! – comes with a free UNIT dress up kit and is on sale now in all good newsagents
• The comic is also available as a digital edition through Pocketmags.com here and for iPad via iTunes here (although of course you don’t get the free gift with the digital edition)
• Who fan Sean Bassett tells us Immediate Media’s Doctor Who Adventures gave away a UNIT beret as a free gift in the past – he used it in a short film he made at Sixth Form. I wonder what today’s DWA readers will do with theirs…
