Aces Weekly – the multi-award-winning, exclusively digital comic art magazine published by David Lloyd – is out now, complete with an all-new Combat Colin story by Lew Stringer.
The welcome return of the crazy gun-toting hero, first published by Marvel UK but owned by Lew, is just part of a great line up of strips in Volume 16, Number 6, available now from www.acesweekly.co.uk
“As most of you will know, Combat Colin was a strip I did for Marvel UK’s Action Force and Transformers comics in the late 1980s,” Lew notes on his blog, “and Marvel returned the rights to me when the strip ended. I’ve used him in a few places since, including two earlier issues of Aces Weekly.
“This latest new adventure sends Colin (and his loyal assistant Semi-Automatic Steve) into space to deal with a giant asteroid shaped like a bottom! The Ass-Teroid!
“Yes, the strip’s as daft as ever!”
Volume 16 is the latest, seven-week extravaganza for Aces Weekly which has featured work by a huge range of creators, including Phil Hester and John McCrea, David Hine, David Leach, Mal Earl, Kev Hopgood and many more.
Each of the title’s previous volumes featured over 200 pages plus extras, and features a exclusive Week-to-Week facility, which transforms any volume’s serialized content into a continuous narrative – comic-book length, but without the advertising!
Subscribing not only gets you over 20 pages of great comic art every week for LESS than one pound, but also free entry into regular prize draws for collectibles and original artwork!
