After the initial announcement of top-notch talent for Tripwire Presents Bristol Comic Con in September, more guests from both sides of the Atlantic have been added to an already stellar line-up.
Acclaimed writer and artist Jimmy Palmiotti (Harley Quinn, Rage, Pop Kill), artist Amanda Conner, who has built up a huge international following thanks to her work on books like Harley Quinn and Power Girl are now heading to Bristol later this year.
Joining them will be highly respected Spanish artist and publisher, Carlos Pacheco, whose credits include X-Men and Arrowsmith, the latter returning to print this year at Image.
Also on the guest list are cult British comic artists Mike Collins, who has also worked extensively on high profile TV shows like Doctor Who, His Dark Materials and Good Omens, and Shaky Kane (Deadline, Bulletproof Coffin, Weird Work) and; and TV special effects wizard Gary Pollard, who has worked on shows like Doctor Who and Krypton, and films like The Mummy.
“We are very proud to add to our already impressive line-up of top talent in our inaugural show year and can’t wait to announce more details about what other exciting attractions we shall be bringing to the show over the coming months,” Tripwire presents Bristol Comic Con co-producer Andrew Colman said.
Tripwire Presents Bristol Comic Con is a new comic convention taking place at the Doubletree at Hilton in Redcliffe in Bristol, featuring top UK, US and European guests. It will also include workshops with the best in international talent over the weekend.
2022 is Tripwire magasine’s 30th anniversary and they will be launching a special Tripwire book at the show and including exhibitions of Tripwire editor-in-chief Joel Meadows’ comic creator and genre portrait photos, and select artwork from many of the guests attending the show.
These guests join those already announced: Laurence Campbell (Hellboy), Elena Casagrande (Black Widow, Blade Runner), Howard Chaykin (American Flagg!, The Shadow), Jorge Fornes (Rorschach, Batman), Lysa Hawkins (Valiant Comics), JOCK (Batman: One Dark Knight, Losers), Sean Phillips (Reckless, Criminal), Cavan Scott (Star Wars), Martin Simmonds (Department Of Truth), Brian Stelfreze (Black Panther, John Wick) and Rob Williams (Judge Dredd, Hellboy)

He’s the writer of “Pilgrim: Secrets and Lies” for B7 Comics; “Crucible”, a creator-owned project with 2000AD artist Smuzz; and “Death Duty” and “Skow Dogs” with Dave Hailwood.
