Master Replicas, producers of a wide range of officially licensed figures and vehicles from a variety of SF franchises, including Doctor Who and Star Trek, has announced the next guest for their Master Replicas Collector’s Club online event will be Jamie Bamber. Most of you will know him as Lee ‘Apollo’ Adama on the reimagined version of Battlestar Galactica.
Jamie is set to join fans for a special online event on 10th March 2024. Master Replicas will confirm the exact time shortly.
Recently launched, the Master Replicas Collector’s Club, available to join here for an annual fee, gives members a 10% discount on all purchases from Master Replicas, early access to all new products, including limited-edition and signed items, and member exclusive ships. There’s also the opportunity to join Zoom sessions with actors and production people from the widening range of TV shows Master Replicas is now tied in with.
Member exclusive releases announced so far for this year are The Hammond, from Stargate, the Tachi from The Expanse, and the Fourth Doctor’s TARDIS.
The member exclusive talks – six per year are planned – kicked off with an chat with Star Trek: Picard showrunner Terry Matalas last weekend.
“We were very happy with the way it went,” say the Master Replicas team. “We’ll be uploading the full video for club members shortly and sharing edited highlights with everyone else.”
Jamie Bamber was one of the mainstays of Battlestar Galactica , playing Apollo, Admiral Adama’s son, Starbuck’s on and off lover, one of the leading Viper pilots, and Galactica’s CAG. He ended up as one of humanity’s leaders.
The reimagined Galactica ran for four seasons on the SyFy Channel between 2003 and 2009, when it earned 19 Emmy Award nominations and a Peabody award. It set the standard for a new generation of science-fiction shows.
As before, the event will be exclusively available to club members and will be held online, opening with a conversation with Jamie, then taking some pre-selected questions from the audience before opening up the conversation to the whole group.
“The plan is for everyone to get a chance to meet Jamie, hear from him first hand, and get a sense of who he is.
“We have some more exciting guest lined up in the coming months,” the MR team tease, “all of whom have played a major role in some incredible sci-fi shows. We can’t wait to tell you more.”
